Born in Corona, California, the short-scale American Performer Mustang Bass delivers the exceptional tone and feel you expect from an authentic Fender—along with new enhancements and a special split-coil pickup, replicated from the original ‘70s drawings, that make it even more inspiring to play. |
Few companies can honestly claim to have changed the world like we did when we created the Precision Bass in 1951. By making playing bass easily accessible, it helped musicians find their creative voice and create new forms of music. The American Original '50s Precision Bass updates the playability of this groundbreaking instrument while retaining the original sound and style that changed the world. |
By the 1960s, the Precision Bass was the workhorse electric bass; from the clubs of Detroit to the beaches of Southern California, its tone laid the foundation for modern music. The American Original ‘60s Precision Bass has all of the features with which the P Bass conquered the world of music—elegantly simple, its sound, style and comfort are joined by modern playability. |
A period of change, both for Fender and for pop culture as a whole, the 1960s saw the Strat mellow slightly as it grew up. The white pickguard was updated to mint green, and the fingerboard was switched from the original maple to rosewood, adding a smoother note to the Strat's clear, articulate voice. The American Original '60s Stratocaster keeps these refinements intact while adding modern feel and pickup switching to the iconic instrument that helped birth guitar rock as we know it. |
At the dawn of the seventies, as popular music trended towards the fatter tones of humbucking pickups into overdriven amps, Fender hired legendary humbucking pickup designer Seth Lover to create a distinctly Fender-flavored take on a higher output dual-coil pickup. The resulting Wide Range pickup used large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe rod magnets to achieve its unique and brilliant sound. The Telecaster® Custom was discontinued in 1979 and real CuNiFe-magnet pickups disappeared with them. |
The ultimate blue-collar guitar, the Telecaster launched a musical revolution when we released it. Quickly adopted by working guitarists who were enamored with its trend-setting sound, feel and unique style, the Telecaster laid the foundation for modern country, blues and even heavy metal (in Jimmy Page's hands). The American Original '50s Telecaster has all of the authentic Fender touches that made the Telecaster a star of the studio and stage, adding modern feel and pickup switching to this classic guitar. |
Released in 1960, the upscale Jazz Bass quickly found favor among working bassists thanks to its premium appointments and versatile sound. The narrower neck seemed tailor-made for fast, dexterous playing, while the pair of single-coil pickups added a bold new dimension to Fender bass tone. The American Original ‘60s Jazz Bass has all the tone and style of its earliest incarnation, with modern playability. |
One of the most versatile guitars ever created, the Telecaster is easily at home in any genre, thanks to its flexible sound, alluring style and smooth playing feel. In 1960, we offered rosewood as the standard fingerboard wood and launched the Telecaster Custom, an elegant model with a double-bound body and 3-ply pickguard. The American Original ‘60s Telecaster combines period-accurate sound and style from this electrifying decade with modern, fast-playing feel and pickup switching. |
Over the course of the '70s, the Jazz Bass entered its "teenage years," changing its visual style and inspiring new playing techniques-such as slapping-which led directly to new, creative forms of expression. Its smooth feel and growly midrange, tempered with a bit of treble bite, made it a hero in recording sessions around the globe. The American Original '70s Jazz Bass updates the smooth playing feel with a modern-radius fingerboard, while retaining the classic Fender tone and style that made the Jazz Bass the tool of choice for creative bassists. |

Great service and great staff! They have been wonderful in tracking down items for me. I was able to rent out one of their lesson rooms to record the piano and they were super accommodating! Definitely recommend!

A little late for this review but hopefully, "better late than never". Purchased two violins for my daughters in Oct 2014. AYNM was fantastic! They had a great selection and the prices were very good. Customer service was outstanding. Lisa was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We had a problem with one bow and Lisa arranged for a replacement bow to be sent at no cost. We will certainly return to AYNM for all of our future music needs!

All you need music in Brockville has a friendly and helpful staff, a good selection in store as well as a huge selection online. They were great when I ordered an amp I found on their website along with a guitar that wasn't on their site but were able to order it from fender for me, both were delivered quickly and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this shop to everyone and will definitely shop there again.

Good selection in store, nicely presented. The online resource is excellent. They will price-match on any advertised price. If they don't have an item in stock or online, they will get it for you. Nice store, nice people.

I visited the store looking for information on both instruments and music lessons and got courteous, friendly and accurate information on both counts. The store is bright and clean with a good selection but anything not in stock can be ordered and delivered very rapidly. They also have instruments that have been gently used at great prices or one can rent. The staff was very professional and helpful. I don't hesitate to recommend this store for all your music needs.

The students and staff at Sinclair Laird Elementary School in Montreal would like to say Thank-You to All You Need Music for providing the instruments we bought after being awarded the Band Aid Musical Instrument Grant from MusiCounts this year. The new instruments are an exciting addition to our music program. It is such a pleasure to see the children enjoying a variety of new instruments in class as well as in the preparation of our upcoming Spring Concerts. All You Need Music played a big role in fulfilling our instrument "wish list" within our given deadline, they were always so friendly and ready to help. Thank-You All You Need Music for helping us with the last and most exciting part of fulfilling our goal.
