  • Planet Waves S.O.S Strobe Pick Tuner

Planet Waves S.O.S Strobe Pick Tuner

You get visual confirmation that you're in tune right on each string! This unique pick-sized tuner uses Planet Wave's revolutionary Strobe-On-String technology. If you've set a turntable's pitch via a stroboscopic control or use harmonic comparative tuning at multiple fret points to tune a guitar, you will immediately get the concept. Barely bigger than a guitar pick, the S.O.S. emits 2 out-of-phase LED light beams onto the vibrating string. The 2 beams dance on the string when it's out of tune, slow down as you approach pitch, and stop when you're on the money. A thumbwheel selects the right LED output for each string making the tuner specific to 6-string guitars. Since it relies strictly on visuals, the S.O.S is ideal for noisy and dim situations. NOTE: The S.O.S. Strobe Tuner only works with 6-string guitars in standard tuning and its lights may be difficult to see on some clear nylon classical guitar treble strings. • Planet Waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner

    Planet Waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner

The Planet Waves Chromatic Pedal Tuner is a sweep and strobe tuner with patent-pending intuitive rotary user interface housed in a rugged, road-worthy metal enclosure.

An oversized note name indicator and super-bright tuning LEDs combine to make on-stage tuning easy in all lighting conditions. Professional features like true hard bypass for preserved tone and dual 9v AC jacks make the Chromatic Tuner at home in any pedal board configuration. In Strobe mode, the played note appears in green on the oversized rotary display while red LEDs chase clockwise if you're sharp and counter-clockwise if you're flat. They slow down and finally stop as you nail the pitch. In Sweep mode, the LEDS sweep left or right indicating whether you're flat or sharp. A big, multi-segment note indicator in the center of the display is very legible when standing. The pedal activates the mute/bypass circuit while 3 controls above it select the tuning mode and user-selectable A435 A445 calibration. The Chromatic Pedal Tuner runs on an included 9V battery and has 9V I/O for daisy-chaining other pedals. With its large display and true bypass that doesn't mess with your tone, it's ideal for electric guitar players who have to perform in dark conditions and who use pedalboards.
